Einstein’s puzzle of time

Despite a watch’s added purpose of style, a timepiece gives a sense of structure and control. Today, our new connectivity to the surrounding world is dependent on data, but a watch is not rooted in any signal. A watch is only reliable of its simple wind, and will tell the time no matter where in the world you are. However, time can somehow leave you puzzled.

The time is passing faster at the top of Mount Everest than the streets of Copenhagen. Einstein discovered this fact in his theory of relativity that the speed of time depends on the strength of gravity. This does not only apply in the extreme case or is a case of gravity’s influence to the machinery of the watch. Time will actually speed up even for the person on the 2nd floor compared to the one sitting on the 1st. This is of course a problem, because whose time is right?
